Cambridgeshire-based steelwork contractor SDM Fabrications has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
The family-owned firm, which employs around 100 staff, operates mainly across East Anglia and London.
Operating out of a 4 acre site in March, near Peterborough, SDM delivers projects up to 1,500t, with turnover of around £20m.
It has general capacity for the design, detail drawing, fabrication and on site installation of around 6,000t per year and carries out work from small span portal frame structures to composite high-rise structures and complex fabrication forms.
