Eric Wright Construction has posted a third consecutive year of profit as strict tender selection continues to pay off for the contractor.
Latest results for 2024 show an increase in pre-tax profit to £2.5m from £2.3m last time as turnover increased to £105.3m from £88.7m.
The construction business is part of the Eric Wright Group which has also announced its 2024 financial results showing pre-tax profit climbing to £13.6m from £5.9m on turnover up to £291.8m from £232.3m.
The company said: “Although improvements have been seen in the economic landscape and ongoing challenges continue to be successfully navigated, these undoubtedly continue to impact some areas of trading.
“Eric Wright Construction continues its strategy of actively bidding on two stage opportunities, avoiding high-risk single stage Design and Build contracts, working with established clients and adopting a policy of selective tendering over turnover generation.”
John Hartnett, Managing Director of Eric Wright Construction, added: “To achieve a third consecutive year of substantial profit is testament to our long-standing client relationships and the expertise and skill within the construction team.
“We have secured a very strong order book for the year ahead and will continue to focus on delivering high quality builds while adopting tight commercial control and effective site management.”
