Graham Investment Projects has won planning for a £70m student tower in Glasgow’s Anderston district.

The 25-storey block at 138 Hydepark Street will rise from a disused brownfield plot, delivering 410 beds in a mix of 236 studios and 174 cluster flats.

Designed by Cooper Cromar, the scheme echoes New York’s iconic Seagram Building, and forms part of the wider regeneration of the Anderston area of the city.

Students will benefit from a host of amenities including rooftop terraces, cinema and games rooms, study lounges, a gym, karaoke booths, and e-gaming zones.

Graham Construction will act as main contractor, with work due to start later this year and wrap up ahead of the 2028 academic intake.

John McDonald, managing director at Graham Investment Projects, said: “Securing planning permission is a key milestone in bringing forward much-needed, high-quality student accommodation in Glasgow.”

The professional team includes Iceni Projects as planning consultant and Etive Engineers as structural and civil engineers.
