Marlborough Highways has won a £115m roads maintenance deal from the The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM).
The win will see Marlborough take over work from current incumbent VolkerHighways who have been in charge of the borough’s roads since 2017.
Marlborough will take over the contract in April 2026 with the deal running initially for seven years.
The unsuccessful bidders this time around were VolkerHighways and Associated Asphalt Contracting.
One industry source said: “I don’t think internally Volker are overly worried about losing this one because as a business they are pushing more towards larger, county-wide term contracts, rather than small city or borough deals.”
