The site of a former Black Country swimming baths is being turned into a much-needed housing development, with the help of a fast-growing Midlands construction consultancy.

Birmingham-based The Construction Consultants (TCC) has been appointed to support the £4.8m plan to redevelop the site of the former Coseley Swimming Baths in Pear Tree Lane.

The development will provide 34 new homes including a mix of two, three and four bedroomed properties. Sustainability is at the heart of the development with all of the new homes featuring air source heat pumps to provide efficient low-carbon heating, reducing energy use and household emissions, as well as electric vehicle charging points.

TCC has been appointed as employers agent for the scheme as well project manager and principal designer. The project developer is Wolverhampton-based WV Living and the main contractor is W13 Ltd.

TCC co-founder and director Sandeep Sunner said:  “This is a much-needed housing scheme in the heart of Coseley which will showcase elegant design and high quality materials, with a focus on comfort and sustainability. It will create an urban community which will revitalise this brownfield site and we are delighted to be involved in such an imaginative scheme.”

WV Living is a wholly-owned housing company of the City of Wolverhampton Council and is currently involved in a major programme to deliver private homes for sale and affordable housing.
