Developer Elliot Group has appointed contractor Vermont to replace Forrest on its \u00a3100m Aura project in Liverpool,<\/p>\n

Elliott took possession of its mixed-use site from Forrest last week following the firm’s financial problems.<\/p>\n

Elliot has moved quickly to replace Forrest on its sites after Careys was appointed last week to build the concrete frame for developer\u2019s \u00a370m twin-tower Residence project in Salford.<\/p>\n

Vermont will step in immediately at the Aura job employing the existing Forrest site team.<\/p>\n

Elliot Lawless of Elliot Group said: \u201cThey\u2019re an excellent bunch of lads and I\u2019m delighted that Vermont has ensured their Christmases won\u2019t be spoilt.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u00a3100m Aura development in Liverpool comprises 142 homes and more than 1,000 student beds and is fully sold out.<\/p>\n

Lawless said: \u201cOur priority has always been to protect the interests of our investors and I\u2019m pleased that we have put this issue behind us and can focus on delivering two great schemes for them.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve got a little bit of ground to make up in terms of schedule, but we\u2019ve got a team in place well capable of getting us back on track.\u201d<\/p>\n
