<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nCostain said it made “further progress on its strategy of transforming Costain into the UK\u2019s leading smart infrastructure solutions company.”<\/p>\n
It added: “Costain is differentiating itself through its long-term strategic relationships and integrated technology-enabled services necessitated by the increasingly complex and fast-changing nature of its clients\u2019 requirements.<\/p>\n
“The Group continues to be involved in a number of major regulatory-driven procurement processes.”<\/p>\n
Costain finished last year with an order book at a record level of \u00a34.2bn compared to \u00a33.9bn last time.<\/p>\n
It said\u00a0 target clients “are consolidating their supply chains to deliver increasingly large, multi-billion pound investment programmes underpinned by regulatory commitments.”<\/p>\n
Costain is also preferred bidder on \u00a3600m worth of work compared to \u00a3400m last time.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nCostain finished the year with a net cash position of over \u00a3110m which was down on the previous year’s figure of \u00a3177.7m.<\/p>\n
Throughout the year the group had a positive net cash position with an average month-end net cash balance of \u00a377m down from \u00a396.7m.<\/p>\n
Andrew Wyllie,\u00a0chief executive, said: \u201cThis has been another year of progress for Costain.<\/p>\n
