{"id":2233,"date":"2019-01-21T10:30:30","date_gmt":"2019-01-21T10:30:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=2233"},"modified":"2019-01-21T10:30:30","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T10:30:30","slug":"bam-bags-27m-brace-of-scottish-healthcare-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/bam-bags-27m-brace-of-scottish-healthcare-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"BAM bags \u00a327m brace of Scottish healthcare projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">BAM Construction has reached financial close on two healthcare projects that will be\u00a0delivered for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde by hub West Scotland. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Greenock Health Centre is a \u00a319m primary care centre located on the former site of Wellington Academy in Dempster Street.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_280900\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Greenock1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-280900 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Greenock1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"762\" height=\"427\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Greenock Health Centre project<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Housed in a new three storey building designed by Scottish architect, Hoskins, the facility will bring together four existing GP practices, district nurses, health visitors, dental and podiatry departments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Work will start later this month and is scheduled for completion in August 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"95430\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nasc.org.uk%2Fnews%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASC scrolling ads for Construction Enquirer.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The second project, by Keppie Design, forms part of Stobhill\u2019s dedicated Mental Health Campus on Balornock Road in Glasgow. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">An \u00a38.5m single storey building will provide residential care for acute admissions and complex clinical care patients. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_280901\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stobhill1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-280901 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stobhill1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1219\" height=\"658\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Stobhill mental health campus design<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Work on this will run in parallel with the Greenock project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"95430\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nasc.org.uk%2Fnews%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASC scrolling ads for Construction Enquirer.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Bruce Dickson, regional director, BAM Construction said, \u201cThese are complex buildings and it\u2019s taken us several years of working with our consultants, hub West and the NHS to make sure that the design of these projects achieves all of the NHS\u2019s objectives for 21<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><sup>st<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> Century healthcare provision. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8220;Our team is now really looking forward to getting construction started.
