{"id":2354,"date":"2019-01-24T08:55:46","date_gmt":"2019-01-24T08:55:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=2354"},"modified":"2019-01-24T08:55:46","modified_gmt":"2019-01-24T08:55:46","slug":"24-5m-heywood-link-road-out-to-bid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/24-5m-heywood-link-road-out-to-bid\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a324.5m Heywood link road out to bid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rochdale Council has started prequalifying firms to build a 2.5km direct link between the M62 and South Heywood.<\/p>\n<p>The new link road will open the way for Russell Homes to build up to 1,000 houses and 1.5m sq ft of commercial space on green belt land in Greater Manchester.<\/p>\n<p>The South Heywood Link Road will be built between junction 19 of the M62 and Pilsworth Road in Heywood, the site of an industrial estate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Heywood-link.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-282249\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Heywood-link.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1856\" height=\"1016\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Greater Manchester Combined Authority has already allocated \u00a310m for the road and Highways England is set to provide \u00a31.75m.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining \u00a317m cost will be funded by the developer.<\/p>\n<p>Expressions of interest need to be back by 25 February.
