Mace chief technical officer Stephen Jeffery is to take up a board role just eight months after being given the job of setting up a central group technical services team.<\/p>\n

The newly-established board role comes after Mace committed to invest 3% of its annual turnover in innovation and improving its service excellence KPIs by 20% year-on-year.<\/p>\n

Jeffrey\u00a0has worked at Mace for 23 years, helping to deliver some of its most iconic projects including The Shard.<\/p>\n

An MEP expert, he will\u00a0be working closely with head of innovation, Matt Gough, chief information officer Michelle Barkess, and group director for corporate Strategy, Mandy Willis, to drive innovation through the business.<\/p>\n

A key focus will be seeking\u00a0to improve the sharing of best practice to drive consistency and improve productivity.<\/p>\n

Mark Reynolds, Mace’s chief executive said:\u00a0<\/strong>“I am pleased to welcome Stephen to the Group Board. He has been a valuable part of the Mace team for over 20 years, but over the last eight\u00a0months he has proved the value and impact that the role of chief technical officer can make.<\/p>\n

“Stephen’s appointment to our group board will ensure that we can continue to pursue a better way of doing things, transform ourselves at pace and can continue to deliver on our clients\u2019 ambitions for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
