Gloucestershire County Council has confirmed Kier as preferred contractor for a new \u00a330m school in Leckhampton, south Cheltenham.<\/p>\n

Detailed design work will now get underway with a\u00a0 formal planning application set to be submitted this summer.<\/p>\n

Kier will work with school sponsor the Balcarras Academy Trust to develop the detailed design of the new school facilities and external landscaping.<\/p>\n

Ben Ramsay, Operations Director, Kier Construction said \u201cWe are delighted to have been selected as the preferred contractor on the new secondary school project in Cheltenham.<\/p>\n

“This achievement through the Southern Contractors Framework builds on our existing relationship working on the Gloucestershire County Council Framework where we have successfully completed over 50 projects in the past 15 years.<\/p>\n

“The team based out of our Gloucester office are excited to be joining the County Council and Balcarras Academy Trust to develop the design and ultimately deliver this important project for the town.\u201d<\/p>\n
