Dundee based contractor Land & Building Services Limited has been placed in administration following the collapse of building services giant McGill which was a major client.<\/p>\n

McGill went down last week<\/a> with the loss of 374 jobs.<\/p>\n

Now Derek Forsyth and Blair Milne of Campbell Dallas have been appointed joint administrators at Land & Building Services.<\/p>\n

Forsyth said: \u201cThe trading and cash flow problems affecting the construction sector are well-documented, and unfortunately Land & Building Services has been affected by these issues, together with the loss of a major client (McGill & Co Limited) in the Tayside market.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will now be marketing the company\u2019s assets for sale, including remaining contracts, and a wide range of plant and equipment, and would urge interested parties to contact us as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

“We will also be working closely with the relevant agencies, including the Redundancy Payments Office, to ensure the employees receive as much support as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Land & Building Services was founded in 1990 and provided a broad range of services to the construction sector and had worked on several award-winning projects, including Scotland\u2019s oldest iron bridge.<\/p>\n

The firm has ceased trading with immediate effect and all 27 staff have been made redundant.<\/p>\n
