A flurry\u00a0of contract wins took Kier to pole position for greatest value of orders taken in the opening month of 2019, also keeping the firm at the top of the 12 months rolling league.<\/p>\n

According to information specialist Glenigan,<\/a> Kier secured 22 contracts worth around \u00a3343m.<\/p>\n

Among the major wins Kier confirmed a \u00a3100m new hospital in Ascot and a \u00a330m new cancer hospital in Bath.<\/p>\n

In London, it secured the \u00a3130m\u00a0Blossom Street scheme near Spitalfields market on the city fringe and the \u00a320m National College for Digital Skills in at Tottenham Hale in North London.<\/p>\n

Lendlease came in second place on the strength of its \u00a3330m order to deliver Manchester\u2019s \u00a3330m Town Hall and Albert Square refurbishment programme.<\/p>\n

Among the other big wins to open the year, Buckingham Contracting booked the \u00a3135m arena project in the first phase of the Swansea Central regeneration scheme, a consolation after the cancellation of the Bristol Arena project.<\/p>\n
