Leicester-based mechanical and electrical contractor East Midlands Electrical Installations has entered administration.<\/p>\n

The \u00a320m revenue electrical specialist suffered severe cash flow pressures in recent months following a shift towards larger\u00a0projects.<\/p>\n

Over 60 staff have been made redundant by administrator\u00a0FRP Advisory.<\/p>\n

The administrator is now marketing the business\u2019 assets, including its fleet of vehicles, for sale. Two employees have been retained to support with the orderly wind down of the business.<\/p>\n

John Lowe, partner at FRP Advisory in Leicester, said: \u201cEME Installations had established itself as a leading player within the construction sector, supplying turnkey electrical and mechanical engineering solutions to both new build and refurbishment projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, the business had suffered severe cash flow pressures as a result of contract disputes and in the absence of new investment it was forced to enter administration and cease trading with immediate effect.”<\/p>\n
