{"id":324,"date":"2018-11-09T17:42:43","date_gmt":"2018-11-09T17:42:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=324"},"modified":"2018-11-09T17:42:43","modified_gmt":"2018-11-09T17:42:43","slug":"amey-wins-50m-north-west-roads-design","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/amey-wins-50m-north-west-roads-design\/","title":{"rendered":"Amey wins \u00a350m North West roads design"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Highways England has picked Amey Consulting for a \u00a349.7m design services deal for roads across the North West.<\/p>\n<p>Amey Consulting will design structures, drains, barriers, signs, landscaping, lighting, traffic signals and other features across the North West\u2019s 260 miles of motorway and 50 miles of major A road.<\/p>\n<p>The contract will run for up to 5 years and starts in April 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Amey\u2019s Chief Executive Andy Milner, said: \u201cCollaboration is at the core of Amey Consulting\u2019s approach, and working closely with Highways England and the Asset Delivery Community, we look forward to delivering long-lasting benefits for the communities of the North West.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The design services contract is the second of the asset delivery suite of contracts to be awarded in the Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and South Lancashire area. <\/p>\n<p>In October Amey were awarded the \u00a3325m asset delivery maintenance and response contract, which will run for up to 15 years. <\/p>\n<p>A firm will be named for the region&#8217;s construction works framework in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>from Construction Enquirer https:\/\/ift.tt\/2QwC7PA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Highways England has picked Amey Consulting for a \u00a349.7m design services deal for roads across the North West.
