{"id":3848,"date":"2019-03-11T08:21:18","date_gmt":"2019-03-11T08:21:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=3848"},"modified":"2019-03-11T08:21:18","modified_gmt":"2019-03-11T08:21:18","slug":"colmore-tang-revenue-nearly-doubles-to-95m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/colmore-tang-revenue-nearly-doubles-to-95m\/","title":{"rendered":"Colmore Tang revenue nearly doubles to \u00a395m"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Birmingham contractor Colmore Tang Construction delivered another year of expansion almost\u00a0doubling turnover last year to \u00a395m from \u00a349m.<\/p>\n<p>The firm recently launched a social housing arm at the start of this year, adding to its fast-growing Tang Interior&#8217;s division formed early last year and a new\u00a0dry-lining division.<\/p>\n<p>This growth saw headcount rise from 88 to 143 staff in 2018, with more expansion forecast in the year ahead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"165577\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.haki.com%2Fproduct%2Fhaki-stair-towers%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/CE_HAKI-MPU_SEPT18.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>CTC has completed 1.45m sq ft of residential, industrial and hospitality projects since launching at the end of 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Chief financial officer Neil Martin said:\u00a0&#8220;The company has invested heavily in business development and establishing the new business and selectively identifying and reviewing potential acquisitions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<p>&#8220;Indeed, the business has entered a phase of longer, more complex new build projects with a wider geographical spread.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Martin said that the cost of significant business investment saw pre-tax profits fall to \u00a31.1m last year from \u00a32.4m in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The effect is positive and secures the business for the long term.
