{"id":4166,"date":"2019-03-20T08:26:15","date_gmt":"2019-03-20T08:26:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=4166"},"modified":"2019-03-20T08:26:15","modified_gmt":"2019-03-20T08:26:15","slug":"speedy-buys-powered-access-hirer-for-9-6m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/speedy-buys-powered-access-hirer-for-9-6m\/","title":{"rendered":"Speedy buys powered access hirer for \u00a39.6m"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Speedy is back on the acquisition\u00a0trail buying Yorkshire-based powered access hirer Lifterz for \u00a39.6m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ac\"><span class=\"v\">Lifterz employs around 90 staff out of a head office in Ossett and other sites in Haydock, Daventry and Bathgate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ac\"><span class=\"v\">It operates<\/span><span class=\"v\">\u00a0a fleet of 1,300 access platforms and last year achieved revenue\u00a0of \u00a315m generating operating profit of around \u00a33.3m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"145884\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fndtg.training%2Fccdo-card%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/CCDO-Banner-Loop.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"ac\"><span class=\"v\">The acquisition complements Speedy&#8217;s previous powered access acquisitions, giving it a nationwide coverage to service customers with larger cherry pickers and scissor lifts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ac\"><span class=\"v\">Cost synergies will be realised from the operation of a national powered access business through Speedy&#8217;s national depot network.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Previous Lifterz owners Malcolm and Ben Bowers will join Speedy&#8217;s business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"165577\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.haki.com%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer+%26utm_medium%3Ddisplay%26utm_campaign%3Dmorethan%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/HAKI MPU March 2019.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"aa\"><span class=\"v\">Over the last 18 months, Speedy has invested over \u00a350m in the powered access market to build a national presence through in-fill acquisitions and organic capital expenditure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"aa\"><span class=\"v\">Russell Down<\/span><span class=\"v\">, Chief Executive of Speedy, said:\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"v\">&#8220;The acquisition of Lifterz announced today is strategically important giving us a national powered access offering and enabling us to provide an end to end service to our customers right across the UK.
