Enfield Council is preparing to set up a panel of\u00a0preferred firms to deliver around \u00a3135m of infrastructure works for the \u00a36bn Meridian Water development in North London<\/p>\n

The scope of works covers strategic utility services and highways, demolition, earthworks, land remediation and bridges infrastructure at the site.<\/p>\n

The council\u00a0is holding a bidders day on 26 April for interested firms ahead of launching\u00a0the framework bid race in May.<\/p>\n

Firms will be shortlisted in June with awards to the 5-year framework expected in February 2020.<\/p>\n

Enfield took direct control for delivering the 10,000-home scheme when Barratt pulled out of its development partnership over a year ago.<\/p>\n

Meridian Water will regenerate 85 hectares of land creating a new district in London with schools, health facilities, rail infrastructure and new open spaces.<\/p>\n

Firms can submit an interest in the bidders day on the ProContract procurement website<\/a> or confirm attendance by email<\/a>\u00a0by 21 April 2019.<\/p>\n
