Before that, he was latterly\u00a0north west operations director for Carillion, after a long career that started with Alfred McAlpine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"95499\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fcisrs.org.uk%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/CISRS Scrolling Ads for Construction Enquirer.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Richard Potts, who has been with Morgan Sidall Construction since 2014, was promoted to area director for Liverpool from senior operations manager.<\/p>\n<p>During his time at the group, he has overseen the delivery of a range of schools through the Priority Schools Building Programme, as well as Bupa\u2019s 148,000 square foot state-of-the-art flagship office at Salford Quays.<\/p>\n<p>The appointments were made by\u00a0Barry Roberts, less than a year after he was promoted to become North West managing director for Morgan Sindall Construction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"122797\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\"\/><\/a><br \/>\n<SCRIPT language='JavaScript1.1' SRC=\"https:\/\/ad.doubleclick.net\/ddm\/adj\/N6250.2036112CONSTRUCTIONENQUIRE\/B22323192.243432540;sz=300x250;ord=[timestamp];dc_lat=;dc_rdid=;tag_for_child_directed_treatment=;tfua=?\"><br \/>\n<\/SCRIPT><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The appointments come at a significant time for Morgan Sindall Construction, with the contractor currently on site at several landmark developments across the region.<\/p>\n<p>On Merseyside, it continues to deliver significant projects for Liverpool City Council at the Paddington Village Central site in the city\u2019s Knowledge Quarter.<\/p>\n<p>It is currently onsite delivering two schemes, with significant upcoming developments including a new \u00a335 million 160 bed hotel and a 60-bedroom upscale aparthotel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"94603\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Finfo.viewpoint.com%2FEMEAQ12019ConstructionEnquirerMPU.html%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Strife-Twitter-Bans-300x250.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Morgan Sindall has also recently been appointed to transform the former Royal Mail building on Copperas Hill into a teaching hub and sports centre for Liverpool John Moores University.<\/p>\n<p>In Greater Manchester, work began last October at the third build-to-rent block at English Cities Fund\u2019s Slate Yard residential project in Salford.<\/p>\n<p>When complete, the \u00a334m, 21 storey tower, located within the New Bailey development, will comprise 199 one, two and three bedroom homes.<\/p>\n<p>Work is also progressing on site at Manchester Metropolitan University\u2019s Arts &amp;
