An alliance of 11 local highways authorities in the East of England is set to invite bids for their third generation\u00a0Eastern Highways Alliance\u00a0Framework.<\/p>\n

Five\u00a0contractors\u00a0will be fighting to renew their places on the major project element of the framework which is estimated to deliver a total spend of \u00a3400m over four years.<\/p>\n

These are Eurovia, Interserve, Kier, Jackson and Morgan Sindall.<\/p>\n

Essex County Council is leading the procurement for the local authorities and plans to formally start the tender race in June.<\/p>\n

The current arrangement that involves a full panel of a dozen firms, including six smaller specialists for smaller works up to \u00a31.5m, is due to end next year.<\/p>\n
