{"id":5154,"date":"2019-04-25T15:32:42","date_gmt":"2019-04-25T15:32:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=5154"},"modified":"2019-04-25T15:32:42","modified_gmt":"2019-04-25T15:32:42","slug":"balfour-lands-26m-aberdeen-terraced-gardens-upgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/balfour-lands-26m-aberdeen-terraced-gardens-upgrade\/","title":{"rendered":"Balfour lands \u00a326m Aberdeen terraced gardens upgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aberdeen City Council has picked Balfour Beatty to revamp the historic Union Terrace Gardens in the centre of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Balfour Beatty is set to start work this summer on the \u00a327m project to transform the Victorian sunken gardens.<\/p>\n<p>LDA design, the firm behind London\u2019s Olympic Park, has drawn up designs for the park that include new walkways, an amphitheatre and cafe.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Celebrating-Heritage-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Celebrating-Heritage-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"630\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-324729\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Existing heritage features will be enhanced, including reinstating the \u2018grand staircase\u2019 into the gardens from Rosemount Viaduct.
