{"id":5268,"date":"2019-05-01T08:12:24","date_gmt":"2019-05-01T08:12:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=5268"},"modified":"2019-05-01T08:12:24","modified_gmt":"2019-05-01T08:12:24","slug":"green-light-for-vast-kings-cross-scheme-final-phase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/green-light-for-vast-kings-cross-scheme-final-phase\/","title":{"rendered":"Green light for vast King\u2019s Cross scheme final phase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Developers behind the vast King&#8217;s Cross redevelopment in London has got the green light for one of the last phases of the scheme.<\/p>\n<p>The W Zone, located off York Way, will comprise three mixed-use buildings, known as W1, W2 and W3, positioned around a central podium garden.<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Smith, Project Director at Kings Cross Central Limited Partnership said: \u201cWe are thrilled that the entirety of W Zone now has the go ahead and we are excited for works to start on the site next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"120377\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.palmersgroup.co.uk%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/CE_PALMERS-MPU_JAN19.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;More than 10 years on from the start of construction works, we are proud to have finalised the detailed design of one of the final pieces of the King\u2019s Cross puzzle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Buildings W1 and W2 have been designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and David Morley Architects and will provide 218 homes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"158465\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.agd-equipment.co.uk%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/AGD300x250Master.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Building W1 is split into two blocks of 11 storeys and 16 storeys, which will comprise 140 open market flats, fronting York Way.<\/p>\n<p>Building W2 is an eight-storey mixed tenure building featuring 78 flats.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2019-05-01-at-08.02.27.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-326810\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2019-05-01-at-08.02.27.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1296\" height=\"952\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>W3, designed by Haptic Architects is set to be a leisure focussed building, featuring a gym, nursery and caf\u00e9.
