The flagship St Mellion Estate in Cornwall \u2013 home to a Jack Nicklaus-designed course \u2013 is earmarked for over 200 homes built on land that\u2019s surplus to the resort\u2019s sporting needs.<\/p>\n
Fairway Capital boss George Brooksbank said: \u201cThe Crown Golf portfolio is one of the largest in the UK and presents significant opportunities for value optimisation through high-quality development alongside retained golf, leisure and environmental enhancements.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nThe tie-up is designed to align closely with Labour\u2019s new housing policies. Fairway has already attended planning discussions with deputy prime minister Angela Rayner and says its \u201cleafy lane\u201d developments reflect her design code vision.<\/p>\n
Campbell Fleming, chair of Crown Golf, said: \u201cThe opportunity is significant: the Crown Golf portfolio – one of the UK\u2019s largest – could deliver over 3,000 new homes, including at least 1,000 affordable units, across key locations in\u00a0Greater\u00a0London, the Home Counties, and South-West England.<\/p>\n

The redevelopment programme is expected to be phased over six years. Crown Golf\u2019s courses will continue operating during the transition.<\/p>\n
