{"id":5806,"date":"2025-06-05T10:46:52","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T10:46:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=5806"},"modified":"2025-06-05T10:46:52","modified_gmt":"2025-06-05T10:46:52","slug":"problem-job-sinks-mace-construction-profits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/problem-job-sinks-mace-construction-profits\/","title":{"rendered":"Problem job sinks Mace construction profits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A problem job blew a hole in the books of Mace&#8217;s construction business with pre-tax profits slumping to \u00a315.7m from \u00a379.3m last time despite revenue topping \u00a32bn from \u00a31.73bn.<\/p>\n<p>Latest results for the year to December 31 2024 show that the smaller consulting operation is the main profit driver making \u00a377.7m from \u00a344.6m last time on increased turnover of \u00a3686.6m from \u00a3619.4m.<\/p>\n<p>Group Executive Chairman Mark Reynolds said: &#8220;One construction project impacted our overall performance.
