{"id":5912,"date":"2025-06-11T10:46:46","date_gmt":"2025-06-11T10:46:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=5912"},"modified":"2025-06-11T10:46:46","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T10:46:46","slug":"infrastructure-and-major-projects-boost-profits-at-vp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/infrastructure-and-major-projects-boost-profits-at-vp\/","title":{"rendered":"Infrastructure and major projects boost profits at Vp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Healthy demand for specialist construction services on major London sites helped equipment rental giant Vp post a strong set of numbers in its latest results.<\/p>\n<p>Final results for the year to 31 March 2025 show pre-tax profits were up to \u00a321.7m from \u00a32.8m last time on increased turnover of \u00a3380m from \u00a3369m.<\/p>\n<p>Specialist construction and water and transmission work were the star performers while a slower start to Network Rail&#8217;s Control Period 7 continued to drag down performance.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"487503\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bluebeam.com%2Fuk%2Fresources%2Febooks%2Fbridging-the-labour-gap%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dmpu-banner%26utm_content%3Dbuttoncta%26utm_term%3Dbb-alt%26utm_campaign%3D2503-GLOB-CN-Software-Bridge-Gap%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" target=\"_blank\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/aec-software-ebook-en-UK-1a-300x250.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The firm said: &#8220;During the year, investment has been focussed on specialist construction where a clearer market opportunity exists and where returns have been strongest.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our divisions provide specialist assets (examples being highly technical survey and scanning equipment, press fit tools and access equipment) to niche end markets with a particular focus on site redevelopments, commercial fit outs and &#8216;clean rooms&#8217; in data centres, food and beverage and pharma.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ph\">&#8220;During FY 2024\/25, the group has enjoyed good market activity levels, which are expected to continue, particularly in London where we have supported a number of major projects.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"163817\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.constructionenquirer.com%2Fdirectory%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" target=\"_blank\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/enquirer_directory_mpu.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"ou\">Anna Bielby, Chief Executive Officer of Vp, said: &#8220;We have delivered a resilient performance against a period of varied economic and geopolitical headwinds, with our diverse and increasingly collaborative specialist businesses driving sector leading returns.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ou\">&#8220;During the year, we continued to make changes to our operating model to capitalise on growth opportunities, including the centralisation of operations and the launch of Vp Rail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pd\">&#8220;Vp has entered the new financial year in a solid position, with strong early momentum in Infrastructure and specialist construction.
