Britcon is gearing up for a record-breaking year after securing a raft of major frameworks that have put the business on track to nearly double turnover.<\/p>\n

The civil engineering, building and structural steel specialist said it had established a strong base for growth after reporting a revenue rise 10% to \u00a337m in the year to 30 September 2024.<\/p>\n

Pre-tax profit dipped to \u00a3844,000 from \u00a31.2m after a ramp-up in investment in regional office expansions in Yorkshire and the North East, and new digital platforms for site and commercial management.<\/p>\n

The firm maintained a strong cash position and is now forecasting turnover to surge in 2025.<\/p>\n

Managing director Nick Shepherd said: \u201c2024 was a truly transformational year for Britcon.<\/p>\n

“We have successfully secured new clients and major new frameworks, and with a forecast turnover of \u00a370m in 2025, we\u2019re entering our next phase of sustainable growth with confidence.<\/p>\n

“We now have the right structure, systems, and capability in place and remain fully committed to delivering exceptional results and value for our clients and the communities we serve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Britcon now employs around 90 staff and plans to grow further in 2025, supported by a direct delivery model.<\/p>\n

Britcon has landed spots on several key frameworks, including a place on Northumbrian Water\u2019s \u00a33.6bn AMP8 programme, alongside deals with NEPO, ABP, NEUPC and Bradford Council.<\/p>\n

It has also picked up jobs with new clients, including the \u00a313m Airfield Business Park project for Leicestershire County Council, \u00a0the \u00a37.5m ASR II civils project for Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, an \u00a38.9m Advanced Manufacturing Unit for the Harworth Group and \u00a312m of contracts for Associated British Ports.<\/p>\n
