{"id":5998,"date":"2025-06-16T11:46:46","date_gmt":"2025-06-16T11:46:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=5998"},"modified":"2025-06-16T11:46:46","modified_gmt":"2025-06-16T11:46:46","slug":"morrison-pedals-in-for-19m-mountain-bike-rd-hub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/morrison-pedals-in-for-19m-mountain-bike-rd-hub\/","title":{"rendered":"Morrison pedals in for \u00a319m mountain bike R&#038;D hub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"132\" data-end=\"290\">Morrison Construction has been lined up to deliver a major mountain bike innovation centre in the Scottish Borders after plans for the \u00a319m scheme were submitted.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"292\" data-end=\"519\">The Innerleithen facility will rise on the site of the old Caerlee Mill, following April\u2019s green light to demolish the main building.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"292\" data-end=\"519\">It forms part of the wider \u00a3350m Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal, backed by the UK and Scottish Governments.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"292\" data-end=\"519\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"478038\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.creaghconcrete.co.uk%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" target=\"_blank\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/CE_Creagh.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-start=\"521\" data-end=\"631\">Hub South East is acting as delivery partner with Morrison now confirmed as builder, pending planning approval.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"633\" data-end=\"902\">Led by South of Scotland Enterprise, the project will include bike engineering workshops, brand experience spaces, teaching areas, offices, and event space. The scheme will also serve as a base for Edinburgh Napier University\u2019s cycling research and academic programmes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1266\" data-end=\"1492\">The UK Government is pumping \u00a319m into the Innovation Centre and nearby Tweed Valley Trail Lab.
