Family-run contractor J Coffey Group has delivered a \u00a35.5m pre-tax profit in 2024, down 14% on last year, as the firm adjusted to the end of a major overseas contract.<\/p>\n

Revenue for the year to 30 September fell to \u00a3164m from \u00a3216m previously.<\/p>\n

But directors said the group remained resilient, underpinned by stable margins, repeat business and strong cash reserves.<\/p>\n

EBITDA came in at \u00a36.5m, and margins edged up to 4% from 3.5%.<\/p>\n

Cash at bank closed the year at \u00a312m with net assets raised to \u00a320.5m from \u00a317.6m.<\/p>\n

Chairman James Coffey said: \u201cWe\u2019re incredibly proud of the result given the challenges in the market.<\/p>\n

“The group’s future order book and pipeline remains strong as the business focuses on continuing to work with both new and long-established clients.<\/p>\n

“Consistent with the previous year, to ensure the business has a diversified and secure revenue generation, we have continued to prioritise the growth of our infrastructure, data centre and structural alterations, including the builders work and fire protection elements of business.”<\/p>\n
