Labour shortages, net-zero targets and material inflation are all converging to squeeze contractors further, with project risks rising sharply in the second half of the year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1778\" data-end=\"1989\">The report comes as Construction products manufacturing returned to growth in the second quarter of 2025, according to the Construction Products Association\u2019s latest State of Trade Survey.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1778\" data-end=\"1989\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"485184\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vpgroundforce.com%2Fgb%2Fpiling-equipment%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction_enquirer_advert%26utm_medium%3Dmpu%26utm_campaign%3Dmpu_cequirer_october%23enquire+%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" target=\"_blank\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Piletec MPU Ad 300_250px.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-start=\"1778\" data-end=\"1989\">Suppliers are now more confident of a rise in sales over the next 12 months but flagged up long-standing price pressures in the supply chain and increase in wages and salaries compared to a year earlier.
