The business broke even last year and is expected to be loss making this year. <\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"494661\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbrand-accesssolutions.com%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" target=\"_blank\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brand slower ezgif.com-animated-gif-maker.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"aaf\">The factory now requires a significant level of capital investment to remain operational which has forced the move.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"aaf\">Bison Bespoke precast generated revenue of \u00a39.7m in 2024 but has failed to make money for a number of years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The closures were confirmed in Forterra&#8217;s latest half year results which showed pre-tax profits dipped for \u00a39.9m for the six months to June 30 2025 from \u00a312.8m last time on turnover up to \u00a3195.1m from \u00a3162.1m.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"474739\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbrilliantideasltd.co.uk%2Falimats%2F%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" target=\"_blank\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/6507-BI---Alimats-MPU---Constuction-Enquirer_01_s2.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Brick sales were up 14% driven by recovering housing demand and price increases began to stick.<\/p>\n<p class=\"adt\"><span class=\"aci\">Neil Ash, Chief Executive Officer, said: <\/span><span class=\"abe\">&#8220;We saw a strong uplift in results in the period, supported by improved demand from the volume housebuilding sector, with despatches significantly ahead of the prior year.
