Laing O’Rourke Operations Leader James Davies is joining Skanska as Divisional Director overseeing key construction projects in the defence and health sectors.<\/p>\n
Davies will take up his new position next week reporting directly to Executive Vice President Terry Muckian<\/p>\n
Davies said: \u201cSkanska has a strong legacy in the UK, having delivered significant projects across the commercial sector as well as critical national infrastructure. The company\u2019s culture, international reach, and the variety of projects currently underway is exciting, and I\u2019m eager to get started.<\/p>\n
“I also look forward to building strong relationships with our supply chain and customers, working closely with teams across the UK business to create new opportunities for growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Currently, Skanska UK is delivering major projects within the defence market, including the Vehicle Storage and Support Programme for the British Army at Ashchurch in Gloucestershire.<\/p>\n
The business is also pursuing opportunities within healthcare as well as growing regional presence, such as with the Botanic Place development in Cambridge.<\/p>\n
