Concrete specialist Beresford\u2019s Ltd has appointed Ewan Craig as its new Managing Director.<\/p>\n
He takes over from Chris Massey, who has led the Derbyshire firm through a period of strong growth.<\/p>\n
Craig joins from Rhino Precast but first started his construction career with Beresford’s more than 25 years ago.<\/p>\n
Craig said: \u201cI am delighted to be appointed Managing Director of Beresford\u2019s \u2013 the company where I first began my construction career. Ralph Beresford gave me my start, and I quickly learned the values of hard work, quality, and a \u2018can do\u2019 attitude that has always defined the business.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter 15 years on site with Beresford\u2019s and later management roles across the precast sector, I am proud to return and follow in the footsteps of Ralph, John, and Phil Beresford and Chris Massey, who all moved from the tools into leadership. That practical foundation has always been central to Beresford\u2019s success.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom block and beam to specialist precast and progressive collapse systems, Beresford\u2019s has consistently moved with the industry. The company has achieved much since I first joined, but I believe the best is yet to come. I am excited to lead the next chapter of growth and grateful to Chris for this opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n
Founded over half a century ago, Beresford\u2019s has grown into the UK\u2019s largest specialist supplier and installer of insitu concrete works packages for main contractors, steel frame suppliers, and precast concrete manufacturers.<\/p>\n
Massey added: \u201cOne of the main reasons for the company\u2019s endurance is everybody\u2019s willingness to adapt to new types of work while maintaining pride in what they do.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy job has been made so much easier by having such adaptable individuals who relished new challenges. With the combined skills, knowledge and experience of the Beresford\u2019s management team and site team, the future is looking very positive.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur priority now is to take on more directly employed staff to meet current and future workload demands. With Ewan now at the helm, I am confident the business will continue to progress.\u201d<\/p>\n
Alongside its insitu concrete operations, Beresford\u2019s also undertakes specialist precast installation, drilling of concrete soffits using their pole drill system, and remedial works.<\/p>\n
