Thames Water has launched the bid race for a \u00a34bn Major Projects Framework to deliver large-scale capital works during its AMP8 investment period, with scope to extend into AMP9.<\/p>\n

The utility plans to appoint up to eight contractors to carry out major projects and asset upgrades across London and the South East.<\/p>\n

The framework will run for an initial seven years from March 2026 with options to extend to just over nine years.<\/p>\n

Projects awarded under the framework will range from major treatment plant upgrades to new pipelines, pumping stations and associated civil engineering works, as Thames Water pushes to modernise ageing assets and deliver its share of the industry\u2019s \u00a3100bn AMP8 investment drive.<\/p>\n

Interested firms must submit requests to participate by 15 October 2025 with places due to be awarded in March 2026.<\/p>\n

Scored submissions will be ranked on core capability (55%), supply chain(15%), health and safety(15%), and environmental performance (15%).<\/p>\n

The ten highest scoring bidders will be invited to the next stage, where final tenders will be judged on technical delivery, risk management, collaboration, sustainability and innovation.<\/p>\n

Thames Water will run mini-competitions under the framework, which is expected to cover both works and services essential to AMP8 delivery and beyond.<\/p>\n
