Developers Mitsubishi Estate London and CO\u2014RE have officially broken ground on an \u00a3800m landmark riverside development on London\u2019s South Bank.<\/p>\n

The scheme being delivered by main contractor Multiplex is one of the biggest new-build project to get underway this year in the Capital.<\/p>\n

Known as Vista at 72 Upper Ground, the 640,000 sq ft redevelopment of the former ITV Studios site is due to open its doors as a office and cultural centre in 2029.<\/p>\n

Designed by Make Architects, the \u2018commercially led\u2019 mixed-use development will deliver a 25-storey office tower connected to two smaller buildings of 14 and 6 storeys.<\/p>\n

The design also features external terraces and balconies overlooking the Thames, and a new public rooftop restaurant and terrace, as well as transforming 40 per cent of the site into public space.<\/p>\n

Buildings will be all-electric, while targeting net zero carbon in operation along with BREEAM \u2018Outstanding\u2019.<\/p>\n

A 6-storey podium will support the two office buildings and create a rooftop garden<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The development will offer premium and affordable workspace tailored to Lambeth\u2019s creative industries, alongside new cafes, cultural venues, and publicly accessible green spaces.<\/p>\n
