London-based contractor CField Construction swung to a \u00a31.2m pre-tax loss last year after a clutch of legacy schemes dragged on performance.<\/p>\n

Tougher trading saw revenue also drop 16% to \u00a3119m (2023: \u00a3142m).<\/p>\n

Directors Patrick Crowley and Barry Crowley predicted the firm would return to the black in 2025 with as more challenging legacy projects had now been completed.<\/p>\n

The firm’s cash position remained solid at \u00a36.5m with no bank debt, and no dividend was paid (2023: \u00a31.18m).<\/p>\n

Going forward, the firm has just picked up an order to design and build a 100-bed apartment hotel over seven storeys in Acton, West London.<\/p>\n

The 83\u201385 Gunnersbury Lane project has planning approval for an immediate start.<\/p>\n

Gavin O’ Flaherty, managing director at CField Construction, said \u201cThis is a major win for CField, not just for its opportunity, but because it sits outside the Building Safety Regulator approval process, allowing for greater flexibility and certainty in delivery.\u201d<\/p>\n
