East Sussex modular housing specialist Boutique Modern has stopped work at its sites after filing a notice of intention to appoint administrators.<\/p>\n

Operating from a factory in Newhaven, the firm which was set up 16 years ago, employs around 68 skilled workers.<\/p>\n

The firm has several live housing projects located in Lancing, St Leonards and Eastbourne.<\/p>\n

It was also gearing up to start its biggest project to date of 100 homes at Eastbourne’s historic Grade II-listed Victorian Pump House site.<\/p>\n

Enabling works were underway with first housing units due to be delivered shortly to site.<\/p>\n

Boutique Modular specialises in modern-looking affordable homes for housing associations and local authorities in the southern region and has delivered over 240 homes.<\/p>\n

It was the first in the UK to achieve B Corp certification, having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.<\/p>\n
