Leeds City Council has fired the starting gun on bidding for the \u00a31.5bn YORbuild Major Works framework renewal.<\/p>\n

Eight existing contractors – BAM, B+K, Galliford Try, Tilbury Douglas, Kier, Morgan Sindall, Wates and Willmott Dixon – face a fight to hold their places<\/p>\n

The YORbuild Major Works 2 deal will span Yorkshire and the Humber, the North East, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.<\/p>\n

Covering general building and some civil engineering schemes, the framework will run for up to 6 years.<\/p>\n

It has been split into two project value lots, one for projects worth \u00a310m-\u00a330m and the other larger projects worth more than \u00a330m.<\/p>\n

Projects will adopt NEC4 and JCT forms and stress modern methods of construction, low-carbon delivery, and local employment initiatives aligned with the Construction Playbook.<\/p>\n

The framework \u2013 managed jointly by Leeds, East Riding, Sheffield and North Yorkshire councils \u2013 is open to hundreds of public bodies, including local authorities, NHS trusts, blue-light services and housing associations.<\/p>\n

Tenders must be submitted via YORtender by 23 December 2025, with awards expected in April 2026 and mobilisation from May 2026.<\/p>\n
