Social-impact developer Capital&Centric has lodged plans for a \u00a360m neighbourhood on scrubland just outside Sheffield city centre.<\/p>\n

The Manchester-based firm wants to build 192 rental homes in a cluster of new buildings packed with shared spaces \u2013 including lounges, a leafy courtyard and a rooftop terrace with city views.<\/p>\n

The Fitzwilliam scheme sits next to Capital&Centric\u2019s Eyewitness Works project, where the developer has already transformed two Grade II-listed buildings and delivered the Brunswick new build.<\/p>\n

Joint managing director Tom Wilmot said: \u201cFitzwilliam isn\u2019t another bland block of apartments. What we\u2019re creating here is a community where people actually want to spend time; that means homes that feel like home, shared spaces to make new friends, and proper greenery to unwind in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Plans also include opening up surrounding streets with new trees, lighting, benches and public art celebrating Sheffield\u2019s industrial past.<\/p>\n

All homes will come fully furnished with Scandi-style HAY interiors and be managed by Ollo \u2013 Capital&Centric\u2019s in-house rental arm, which looks after maintenance and community events across its sites.<\/p>\n
