starts Stockport Exchange phase 3 office"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leeds contractor GMI Construction has bagged the next phase of the \u00a3145m Stockport Exchange office scheme near the town&#8217;s railway station.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme forms part of the regeneration partnership between the local council and Muse to transform Stockport town centre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"145884\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fndtg.training%2Fccdo-card%3Futm_source%3Dconstruction-enquirer%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dconstructionenq-ads\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/CCDO-Banner-Loop.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Piling is just getting underway for the 2 Stockport Exchange office project, which will rise to six-storeys and offer 60,000 sq ft of space when completed in February 2020.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stockport-Exchange-2-site.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-260184\" src=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stockport-Exchange-2-site.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2324\" height=\"1300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The building will be\u00a0constructed next to 1 Stockport Exchange which was built by Eric Wright Construction.<\/p>\n<p>Greg Ball, development surveyor at Muse Developments, said: \u201cThis is yet another significant milestone in the evolution of Stockport Exchange and it\u2019s exciting to be celebrating the start of construction on this latest scheme, which will complement the successful previous phases.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"124439\" Construction Group plc, said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to be continuing our strong relationship with Muse and Stockport Council, and starting work on this major development.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This scheme will further enhance Stockport\u2019s new central business district and we\u2019re pleased to be part of the team creating a new gateway to Stockport town centre.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once complete, the wider Stockport Exchange development will deliver up to 375,000 sq ft of office space and 28,000 sq ft of commercial floor space.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div
