{"id":9452,"date":"2025-12-03T16:46:37","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T16:46:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=9452"},"modified":"2025-12-03T16:46:37","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T16:46:37","slug":"bgs-utilities-gets-investment-boost-for-growth-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/bgs-utilities-gets-investment-boost-for-growth-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"BGS Utilities gets investment boost for growth plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Multi-utility infrastructure provider BGS Utilities has received a six-figure investment boost to assist the firm\u2019s future growth.<\/p>\n<p>Based out of its offices in Birchwood Park, Warrington, BGS Utilities works across the industrial and commercial, and house building sectors across the North West and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p>The investment from NPIF II \u2013 FW Capital Debt Finance, which is managed by FW Capital as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II) is assisting the firm\u2019s financial planning strategy providing a solid platform to help meet its growth targets and facilitate further new contract wins.<\/p>\n<p>BGS Utilities employs around 40 people. During the last year the firm has secured a significant volume of new contracts including Manchester City Centre regeneration projects for Renaker, new homes developments for Wain Homes, Ecclestone Homes, Belway and Vistry, and the Animate Studios in Preston.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Hopkins, Managing Director at BGS Utilities said: \u201cThe utility infrastructure market is incredibly competitive but we\u2019re focussed on finding innovative ways of working which deliver better engineered solutions for our clients. It\u2019s something that NPIF II is continuing to support, ensuring we\u2019re providing funding that doesn\u2019t just support the growth of individual businesses, but of our entire regional economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a3660m Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIFII) covers the entire North of England and provides loans from \u00a325k to \u00a32m and equity investment up to \u00a35m to help a range of small and medium sized businesses to start up, scale up or stay ahead.<\/p>\n<p>The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II will increase the supply and diversity of early-stage finance for the North\u2019s smaller businesses, providing funds to firms that might otherwise not receive investment and help to break down barriers in access to finance.
