{"id":9572,"date":"2025-12-09T10:46:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T10:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/?p=9572"},"modified":"2025-12-09T10:46:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T10:46:13","slug":"vinci-wins-funding-sign-off-to-begin-main-70m-st-helens-rebuild","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cita.co.uk\/news\/vinci-wins-funding-sign-off-to-begin-main-70m-st-helens-rebuild\/","title":{"rendered":"Vinci wins funding sign-off to begin main \u00a370m St Helens rebuild"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vinci Building has been given the green light to start the main construction phase of the \u00a370m first stage of St Helens\u2019 town centre transformation after councillors signed off one of the biggest funding commitments in the borough\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a369.7m injection \u2013 approved at cabinet \u2013 unlocks the full build programme for phase one of the 24-acre overhaul and allows Vinci to switch from demolition and remediation works to full-scale construction in early 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The town centre regeneration is being delivered by St Helens Borough Council and ECF (Muse, Homes England and L&amp;G JV).<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-mpu ad-mpu-inline\">\n<div class=\"sleeve\"><a data-ad-id=\"495477\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/themes\/constructionenquirer\/adclick.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Feu1.hubs.ly%2FH0pvjSS0\" target=\"_blank\" onclick=\"track_ad_click(this);\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sypro updated.gif\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/St-Helens-regen-new-market-ECF-p-ECF.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-478982\" src=\"https:\/\/www.constructionenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/St-Helens-regen-new-market-ECF-p-ECF.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"553\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The scheme replaces the old Hardshaw Shopping Centre with a new Market Hall, a 120-bed Hampton by Hilton hotel, 56 flats, eight townhouses and around 4,300 sq ft of retail space.<\/p>\n<p>Vinci\u2019s package forms the heart of a wider push to revive the town centre.
